The Ground-based Nuclear Detonation Detection subprogram is centered on improving terrestrial nuclear detonation detection technologies - seismic, hydroacoustic, infrasound, and radionuclide - to support the operational community. Through the use of national laboratory expertise and synergy with the Department of Defense and military services, this program drives forward the state of the art in these technology areas, and provides the operational community with specific tools and geophysical datasets that enable improved analysis of real-world events.
