NNSA announced Monday that it distributed more than $362 million in small business obligations for federal prime contracts in fiscal year 2011. NNSA surpassed its departmental small business goal by 27 percent in fiscal year 2011.
To highlight the success of its small business program, NNSA has launched the third annual “NNSA Small Business Week.” This week, NNSA is featuring a different small business of the day on the NNSA Blog.
Today’s profile highlights Container Technologies Industries, LLC (CTI), a Small business located in Helenwood, Tenn. Since December 1999, CTI has provided the nuclear industry with many types of products, including containers for the storage, transport, and disposal nuclear waste.
CTI has supplied Y-12 with shipping containers for the past three years and have supplied Y-12 in excess of 1670 containers with no rejections for quality issues.
