45 kilograms of highly enriched uranium safely removed from Japan and returned to the United States
Fulfilling a commitment made at the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit, NNSA and Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) announced the removal of all highly enriched uranium from the Kyoto University Critical Assembly.
