NNSA’s Storage program provides for the effective storage and management of (national security and) surplus pits, highly enriched uranium (HEU), and other weapons and nuclear materials in compliance with Departmental requirements. Most of the work includes the cost of receipt, storage, and inventory of nuclear materials, non-nuclear materials, HEU, enriched lithium, and components from dismantled warheads.
