TechSource, Inc Featured as NNSA Small Businesses of the Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Monday, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) launched "NNSA Small Business Week," a weeklong campaign to highlight small businesses around the country that are making vital contributions to the nuclear security enterprise.

In FY2009, NNSA distributed more than $418 million in small business obligations for federal prime contracts in fiscal year 2009 – up from $241 million in FY2006, $396 million in FY2007 and $378 million in FY 2008. In addition, NNSA surpassed its departmental small business goal by more than 15 percent in fiscal year 2009.
 
As part of the NNSA Small Business Week, the NNSA website is featuring a different "Small Business of the Day" each day this week. Today's profile highlights TechSource, Inc., a science and engineering consulting firm based in Los Alamos, N.M., has played a vital role in the National Nuclear Security Administration's Complex Transformation efforts.

Complex Transformation is NNSA's vision for a smaller, safer, more secure and less expensive nuclear weapons enterprise that leverages the scientific and technical capabilities of our workforce and meets national security requirements. TechSource has studied facilities consolidation and savings across NNSA.

TechSource provides expert technical and management services to organizations responsible for developing, implementing, operating, and managing high technology programs and projects. TechSource specializes in program and project management, nuclear and atomic sciences, strategic nuclear materials, nuclear fuels, particle-accelerator physics and engineering, information technology, and ancillary technologies.
